At the Gut Health Group, our Accredited Practising Dietitians work alongside gastroenterologists and allied health teams across Australia to provide evidence-based dietary support for individuals with digestive concerns. Our gastroenterologists assess and diagnose gut related medical conditions, while our dietitians focus on providing personalised nutrition and gut microbiome support to help manage digestive discomfort and promote overall gut health.

How to Book a Bulk Billed Dietitian Appointment at The Gut Health Group

Step 1: Book an appointment with your GP

Ask your GP for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.

Let them know you're seeking dietitian support for a chronic condition, such as:

Coeliac disease
IBS or SIBO
Constipation
Bloating
Weight management
General gut health concerns

Provide your GP with the following referral details:

Practice Name: Gut Health Group
Clinic Location: 470 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, VIC 3004
Note: Telehealth only – we see clients Australia-wide
Medicare Item Number: 10954 (Dietitian – Individual Allied Health Services under CDM)

Step 2: Send us your CDM referral

Once your GP has completed the referral, you can:

Ask them to email it directly to us, or
Email it to us yourself once you’ve received it

Important: We must receive your referral prior to your appointment to bulk bill your session through Medicare.

You may be eligible for up to 5x bulk-billed dietitian sessions per calendar year through Medicare under your CDM plan.

If you've reached your yearly limit of 5 bulk-billed dietitian sessions, you're still welcome to continue your care with us. You can book privately at any time.

Please note, these appointments are out-of-pocket and not covered by Medicare.
